bye 2013

the very last post of the year.

- of singapore's aquarium-
i only been to sydney's one but not here in singapore. and he went to the singapore's aquarium on sunday that day ><
me: has dugong there or not? (actually i was just being random, to crack some differences also)
him: no dugong. u have special feelings towards dugong is it?
me: funny u!! why will i have special feelings towards dugong? looks like u is it??!
him: thats what i meant ha…
really =.=!!! should have said that he's as ugly as dugong…. but guess he'd slaughter me if i said so XD

seeing the folders on my desktop, especially entitled "for ES" (always have to give him a copy of updated drawings and schedules in several formats), makes me miss him a lot.
miss those days. its just about 8-10weeks time that i helped him out with all those things, coz i was very bored back then, might as well help his staffs and lighten his burden.
i really didn't mind working from 8-7 and sometimes 8-8 from monday till saturday although actually my working hours is 830-530 and half day on saturday.

would get him some light snacks once or twice weekly so that he won't get starved. sometimes he won't be having lunch when he's too occupied, with works and meetings.

the later days of that period, we were slightly closer as we started to text after working hours. and that was crazy. we texted at night and had to be as though we are not close during the next day at work. and when comes to work things, we were really serious on it. really si bei siao!!! and the craziest thing was, there were a few times, we actually texted even during the day at own working desk, still within the same office wat =.= and yet, we still have to act as though nothing was going on between us. really crazy… i thought both of us have mental disorder or wat to be so… but thats adulthood, I'm not going to deny that, work is work, text is text, being close privately shouldn't be revealed at work.

we would have dinners after work once in a while but his staffs won't know how frequent we dined out together, as they only met the two of us walking together twice XD

-some good days back then-

dress? no dress?

had an early christmas celebration at church last saturday.
had more than enough time to get dressed up since i work half day on saturday.

people all so shocked seeing me in dress on that day, coz I'm always with my working attire(tee and jeans), i was like, "need to be so shocked or not??!!! :o " i ever wore skirt to service before what….=.=

but thats not the dress that i wore to meet the man… should have picked on other colours instead of pink, then i might wear this to meet him. pink is sooooo girly =.=!!! so far he's still okay with the two dresses i wore XD XD

Sianeder, the local designer's brand. guess i have spent over $500 on dress and skirts there. $500!!!!!! sigh. i must be irrational back then… but their dresses and quality are real good!! worth the price for each piece tho… its about $50-$65 per piece, breaking down them the dress isn't very expensive at all.

don't dare to step a foot in the shop anymore.. or, should be for the year to come, until my birthday again next year XD members get 40% off the total bill, exclude accessories. seriously, the dresses are nice =D

so… will continue to put on dress if theres any occasion lahhhh… and also when meeting him XD

to paint or not to paint

Rule No.3
from the perception of man - too much of make up will be very fake. =P

*****

was thinking when will i get to have a dinner with the man again during the day. then a text from him came in after my knock off time asking wanna have a dinner or not. coincidentally =D since i got no mood for gym today, so seeing him might be good. aha~

as usual, went home for a quick shower and get dressed. i couldn't directly go to the eatery after knocking off as his knock off time is 7pm while mine is 530pm =.= might as well utilize that time gap.
and this time, in addition to a dress, i actually painted myself. not really paint lar.. just a very simple eyeliner. it takes only two minutes to get that done. suits my laziness. haha.

we settled at AOI Sushi at Killiney Road this time, near his place, not too far from my house also.
the two of us shared a set meal for two. thats not cheap weiiiiii…$60 over excluding a 17% tax. oh my….. and not very filling, thats expensive….. cause he dont take raw food. wonder what was he thinking, don't take raw food but entered a Japanese restaurant =.= i hope he won't whack cup noodles when he got home =P food wise, so so lor… he said he definitely won't go back for the second time XD

it took him quite a long time to realize that i painted my eyes XD XD
he said that a bit of make up made me look more mature XD XD aha~ good one. guess will be doing the same thing next time again =P

that marks our second dinner date where i wasn't in tees and jeans and backpack since i left =)

happy birthday!?!

yet another year has passed. in just a blink of eye. still remember vividly that i sprained my ankle exactly on this day of last year.

well, as i'm always being mistaken as 18 or 20 all the while, was thinking that probably i need to curl my hair in order to look the same as my actual age. so i curled it last two weeks, as to welcome my new year.

i knew my cell group would celebrate my birthday for me but i didnt want them to spend money, and i just wanted to lay low, again. begged my cell leader hard not to have them to celebrate.. leader actually said ok. who knows, after cell group they carried out a cake out from the fridge =.= oh well, they did surprise me.. because i happily thought, "oh great, no one knows its my birthday, no one is going to celebrate for me."

i thought i would look more mature in this hair, even that man also said that i look more mature. mana tau... that guy behind me in the pic guessed me as 18. again!! dang!! few hundreds gone into the sea =.= =.=
or i have to match with dress but not tee and jeans?o_O!!!

coincidentally its sunday on my birthday. awww love it!! i was thinking whether to go universal studio, again or river safari. then senior asked me to go johor, i was ok with it, since did not really make up my mind yet. after few days of consideration, i decided not to go johor, dont want to be so tiring on such day. aha~

so i went vivocity. wanted to have a movie. it's been about three months since i last watched a movie.

accidentally bumped into this JJ.com fish mart. the interior and kitchen gave me a feel that it's quite a decent japanese restaurant, not the franchise type. so i gave it a try.

had their set meal. the wagyu beef rice, salmon salad and takoyaki. wagyu beef not bad, must remember to tell them not to put onion next time =P really not into onion thingy =.=

and their salmon maki. i like the fish roe. *sluuurrrps*

it's good to be alone on such day. in fact, i enjoyed it very much. i was alone too on this day last year. the tranquility...... very enjoying =D
should bring along a book next time. aha~

oh but such peace didnt continue through the day. Rosemary actually kept me accompanied after i had my lunch. so the two of us spent the rest of the day together, with the movie Frozen. i like the Queen Elsa!!!! and the song Let It Go =D and a dinner at Secret Recipe, which let me down. i wanted to have their chocolate indulgence and black pepper lamb pie but sold out!!!!!! >_< not my day ahhhhhh T_T and been sneezing throughout the day. really really not my day. aih..

Wish of the year - as usual, wished that people around me are happy and in good health =D since i dont know what to wish myself hahaha

on cloud nine

Rule No.2:
from the perception of man- A girl doesnt have to be pretty. important thing is must be kind and be attractive in her own way. Pleasant looking is enough, longer lasting.

*****

it was my first time to get dressed up here in singapore yesterday night. seriously first time, after being here for so long.
a decent dress, which its my first time to try on such dress cutting and i'm satisfied with it :P just that i didnt have the time and equipment to "paint" myself =P quite a hurry since i had to rush home after work to have a quick shower and rushed to the venue, as he suggested to have a dinner yesterday night on the eleventh hour instead of tonight as we have planned earlier on. he said might as well meet up earlier and that i could cheer him up. didnt know i'm so powerful =P
it was my first time to have a dinner with him in such way. we used to dine once in a while after knocking off from work together.
it was his first time to see me in dress and a decent sling bag instead of normal tee and jeans and backpack. and i was very very shy when he said so!!!!!!!! really didnt feel at ease. haha!!
he said that he has quite a number of "first-time" through this dinner =P

Five & Dime Eatery at River Valley road is a good place, near him. good service and nice ambient. and good foods too. had the mentaiko pasta, which every pasta is surrounded with cod fish roe while he had the braised pork belly served over warm cha soba. i like the mentaiko pasta!!!! though only roe and nothing else which seemed to be infilling enough, it does taste good!!! *slurrrp* he said that he was very full after whacking that plate of cha soba, but the braised pork belly was well done. he does like it =D

-oh no photos of foods. i dont snap any photos while dining out with him. i basically dont touch my phone while being with him. actually missed out photos of several rounds of fine foods. but its ok, memories is always beautiful =P -

ah finally i'm a woman to him, instead of a girl ^_^

thankful

Rule No.1:
from the perception of a man - perfume is not necessary in order to smell good. not all men will like the scent of perfume. glad =)

-oh i dont regard all guys as men. certain guys even after getting married and having kids i still see them as guys. so far this man is the first to make me perceive him as a man, or a gentleman to be exact.-

*****

ah i'm grateful for who i am today. i'm super thankful for that lousy incident back in few years ago. i couldnt imagine my current state being married and having a kid at this age. i would go crazy. i wont be able to have all the luxuries i have now, especially freedom. i would seriously go insane.
very thankful.
super thankful.
zillion thanks to such a jerk. haha!!
most of all, thank God for that.

=)

the earliest birthday gift of the year.
its another surprise from him =D
i didnt mean to have him to buy me this when we talked about a similar pen i have last month. he mentioned that he ever bought a Swarovski hello kitty pen, and i jokingly stretched out my hand in front of him. haha. didnt expect him to really get me this.

so we have the habit of wishing each other early birthday? =.=
i wished him early, and now he did the same

that special man. he will be missed

time to say goodbye

its very heavy to leave
i hate to leave
especially leaving this site
the place where i grow up at
i regret not to be able to see the birth of the tiling profile of the rooms and toilets, which i proposed.
i regret not to see the birth of the screeding of the planter boxes. i proposed the water fall levels ohhh. okay i know its easy, but I was without any knowledge on those things.
im gonna miss
the concrete the cement the brick
the rebar the wire mesh
the formwork
the columns the beams the slabs the staircases the lift walls the acotec wall panels the swimming pool the koi pond the studio unit the 1bedroom unit the 2bedrooms unit the basements the substation
the workers and site supervisors whom i always teased
the site engineers(structural and m n e)
and especially, the man

geared up with my 5kg of safety harness for the one last time this morning
bidding everything on site farewell deep inside my heart

guess they would cast this piece of slab on coming tuesday or wednesday

the container office of main contractor. RE RTO room and meeting room are below this.

Bid his staffs farewell.
an uncle senior engineer who always bully me said, "eh we will miss u leh.. eh really really.. monday u what time lunch? Majid lorry have, we go find u"
its very touched to have him to said so. just dont care whether will he do it, but he has that heart, that makes me very touched.
Safety Coordinator, who always check on me whether i have my phone with me, cause i dropped my phone on site before and had a really good time searching high and low for it =.= , said that he will miss me too! my heart got even heavier...... one wont know how heavy it is for me to leave. i hate leaving these people!!!
Majid, the main con's driver, also got shocked when knowing that its my last day today. those general workers whom I'm quite okay with also looked unbelievable..
its at least 10mths time that we got together. the bond is there

only that man always bully me =.=
even on my last day still teased me =.=

cheesecakes

tried out two types of un-bake cheesecakes, and since i dont have any electrical appliances with me, both were made MANUALLY, which is, by my hands lorrrr

failed on the first one. should have added gelatin. should have cut the portion of honey and yogurt. and also shouldnt use marigold yogurt, should really really use greek yogurt.
it melted within like 10mins after taking it out from the fridge =.=

since i bought two blocks of Philadelphia cream cheese, and failed the first, i dare not to try on the same type of cheesecake again. couldnt afford to fail the next one. as i was kind of running out of time.

then tried on this layered cheesecake on end of October. quite a success, where i really really cut a lot on honey and really really really used greek yogurt but just two or three tablespoons. and it turned out to be okay.. at least this can tahan for about or more than half hour? should have added a bit of gelatin too.. but since it's still okay, so could not be bothered much about the gelatin. and i was really really running out of time. didnt wanna try third time.

both types tasted ok to me. in fact i do like the taste :P so i delivered a portion on 3rd Nov.

but that man sounded like didnt quite like the taste :P cause i added a bit of lemon juice so it tasted slight sourish, and thank God the honey i added was not much that he couldnt really taste the honey. what a weird man not to like honey =.=!!!

it was my first time baking a cake. people said this is baking, but to me, this is just mixing the ingredients.. to bake is with oven... hahahaha spare me with my weird logic XDDDD
and it was his first time to have someone to bake a cake for his birthday. what a honour...... he claimed that the honour is his, since it was my first time baking a cake. hey, it was mine too okay... to be the first to bake a cake for him :P :P haha!!

happy birthday!=)
he was not around, so i had to get this done earlier before his birthday.

French dining

went for French dining at Saveur, at Far East Plaza last Sunday with another two sisters.
always wanted to try this restaurant but no kaki, and heard that it gets fully occupied very fast...
so happened that one of the girls suggested this place, so off we went =D
it opens at 1130am on Sunday. be early!!! the restaurant gets full just a while only!!!!

not knowing what's good besides the famous duck confit, so we had the waitress to introduce us what are good as entree, plat principaux and dessert =D

the entree

Tuna - marinated tuna with avocado salsa

the slight fruity Foie Gras, with slices of apple and raisins

Mushroom Cappuccino - still prefer Bella Italia's XD

the Plat Principaux

pan seared Seabass - we actually savoured the sauté potatoes more than the Seabass XD XD

the famous Duck Confit!!!!!! the mashed potato is nice too!!! =D

Beef Bourguignon, with nice salad too!! =)

Rosemary, the Shanghai girl, who suggested this restaurant, happily with her duck bone XD guess she would be the first who savour even the bone XD

Foie Gras again!!! this is with creamy lentils and pickled pearl onion. still prefer the fruity one. teehee

the Dessert
Chocolate and Hazelnut - chocolate mousse with raspberries and stuffs. too sweet for me >_<
Pistachio Panna Cotta -pistachio flavoured cooked cream and the pistachio. i do like the flavour, tho quite sweet still

Strawberry parfait - not bad. quite refreshing as compared to the other two.

part of the interior

overall, it's very good, the price, taste, and service. not very expensive, counted as worthwhile. three of us and it's only about $122.
anticipating for the 2nd visit =)

naughty gal

one wont know how much i love this site. hahaha

contractor's side, management there, young and old, all been disturbed by me almost everyday, especially those uncles uncles whose sons and daughters are of almost the same age as me. and they would do the same back to me. then everyone enjoys the laughters i brought. hahahaha. they would laugh hard. general workers, just two or three, would be same too. but they just wont be disturbed by me everyday, i dont go down site everyday every minute, only when i see them, mostly during inspection time. that would be their nightmare, really kena kao kao by me :P but they are delighted XD whenever they see me they would happily greet me morning =D

safety department too, so long as i see any of them, they would certainly have something to laugh on XD

even that special man nicknamed me "naughty gal" XD he really got a lot by me!! to the level that he nicknamed me so. hahaha

i wont be able to imagine how hard would it be for me when i have to go off from these people.
knowing well that people come and go.

just some small little happenings =)

lifestyle

-of current youngsters-

had a chat with the special one during lunch.
we notice that wherever we went for lunch recently the crowd is no more.
so he said that the economy is not that good.
but i thought singapore is still ok.. some more it's lunch time, and there are sites and offices around cause it's town area, so the kopitiams shouldnt have less crowd. somehow just dont know why it's not that chaotic anymore.
he said that malaysia's economy isnt good. ah that i could relate. aha~
feedbacks from his friends on businesses said that they did feel the impact. and while he was back at home last few weeks, it's no longer as crowded as before.
KL lehhhhhh.... should be "people mountain people sea" cause it's capital but no more.
then i said, back at my hometown, so long as the youngsters still alive, f&b line still can survive. and he said, "everywhere's the same."
and true enough, no matter how much they earn, they are willing spend more than RM10 on a meal. youngsters over his place normally earn around RM2000 and above, then my place is below RM2000. and he too, was shocked how can youngsters spend without think twice. haha!
he said such lifestyle isnt for him. he could not afford that. and somehow i agree on it. me either, i couldnt afford that. haha!! i'm not old, but out of a sudden it seems like i'm of the same age level as him, though he's not very old *i dont think such age is counted as old* we both still young what = =

how could youngsters, earning around RM2000 and slightly higher at a big and hectic city and below RM2000 at not-so-big-and-hectic city but living expenses slightly higher than KL, be so spendthrift?
though i'm still counted as young, i couldnt do that!!!

if one would want to know how to stimulate the nation's economy, ask the youngsters. they would be the main factor =P

Sep 10, 2013

aha~

it was a good date yesterday, and it's a good day today =)

a very big surprise from a special man! and yes, it's a man, not a guy.
never expected that i would get something from him.
so.. this would be the most expensive box of chocolates that i have ever received =)
the value all that i have gotten him could not compare to this box of chocolates. ouch!! i didnt mean to receive such an expensive thing in return!!!!
thanks so much, to the special one!! =)

of Sydney

back from Sydney for about two or three weeks.
and i've got no mood to have a full blog post about the trip

overall Sydney is a laid-back place as compared to Singapore but quite an expensive place for vacation. expenses is higher than here in Singapore.
working and living there would be ok with the pay, just that to go in and work as a foreigner is not an easy task, unlike Singapore, apply, interview, pass the interview, apply for work pass, work pass application approved, then poof you're in Singapore.

the trip was ok.. could be better. and it was near end of winter, so not as cold as when i was at Taiwan. morning breeze would shiver you. glad that i brought along my Tiger flask, so that i could have hot water supply whenever i wan. teehee...

since it's an expensive place to stay, so not much things i bought. and Pacific countries dont really have things that i can really have a hand on.. just some leather goods. aha~ so i have new wallet and bag =) and since then i'm kinda into pure leather goods. strictly no synthetic ones XD
didnt spend much too.. surprisingly i managed to have some aussie dollars left even after buying leather goods.

nothing much.. just go and experience yourself.
strongly recommend to travel during winter.
aha~ love travelling during winter ;)

oh ya, have a sudden crush on panorama shooting mode through this vacation. it's awesome =)

"standardize" tourist spot

5years plus

it's been 5years plus on and off away from home.
never thought that i would end up where i am now since i first left home.

grateful for where i am and what i am now

*****

abandoned here for quite some time.

had a sudden craving for sushi yesterday. so decided to have it alone, since the two girls were busy. i do enjoy the moment of being alone with fine foods!! so it's kind of like it's ok to be alone :P

it's a nice restaurant!!! chefs are all Japanese. customers consist of different nationalities such as Japanese, "Angmo-s", Koreans and more. so it's a very authentic Japanese restaurant =D
with the wide variety of foods, it definitely worths the price!!! blue plate S$1.80, yellow S$2.80, red $3.80, silver S$4.80, gold S$5.80 and black S$6.80, exclude GST.
the sushis are 100+1% very different from those franchise, which are, less of toppings more of sushi rice. this one the portions are just nice. half toppings half rice =)

as usual, blue plate --ebiko is the must :P
red plate -- crab paste+crab meat -- very nice!!! but quite fishy... i'm not a person who knows what's fishy what's not, but this is really fishy... the crab paste i mean.
then red plate dunno what fish name and also the silver one. the silver plate's fish is nice!!! ;D

raw oyster sushi -- gosh!!! these two elements just dont match!!! ewwwwwww need to drink N rounds of green tea to wash off that taste

shop's specialty. so so lor......

there you go, my new favourite!!!!! TORO!!!!! first time tried toro in my life!! restaurants in malaysia have salmon as main fish dish.. hehehehe salmon can really hide elsewhere with the presence of toro. XD XD

sea salt caramel ice cream!!
wanted to order their sakura ice cream, but but but it seems like it's seasonal.... awwwwww
anyway, sea salt caramel is nice too!! =DD

i had 9plates on my own!!!! exclude two plates for ice cream and green tea.

wish i could have gold and black plates next round :P :P

Penang Hill + Owl Museum

need to pay about RM10 for the Owl Museum, surprisingly there's a small gift. haha!!

and this end my Penang trip. i wonder if i saw a group of youngsters which are friends of friend.. they just look familiar to me. haha!!
finally finished with last year's trip, when new trip coming soon =.=
