Final Sem Final Module

And it's the "beloved" Construction Law

we had test 1 somewhen around end Feb.

and ya test 2 be on this friday LOL

basically law to engineers is like alien.

i thought finance was disaster, not until i met law.

i never thought my english is lousy, until i met law =.=

i actually had my mum to post me my oxford dictionary, which surprisingly ageing close to 20 XD

for the test, we studied through midnight for about a week.

for me, thankfully sleeping at 3am was the latest, as i still had to wake up at 6+ am for work.

@$^$#%! seriously why did i take up part time study??? beats me =.=

that thickness.. and its only half a semester. still has half a sem of lecture slides not printed yet. seriously i wonder how did law students make it through.. i really really wonder...... 

even to combine the notes of my two engineering modules last sem also weren't that thick :O

right after the test three of us were super shag like deflated tyre, yet had to survive through the lecture. 

but we didn't really pay much attention to the lecture. brain sort of auto shut down XD

lectures still had to be continued as the test only took an hour =.=

and over the weekend both me and another lady didn't feel like moving at all. she's luckier, has a weekly part time housekeeper. i still had to do housework =.= =.= the another men too bad la, need to spend time with kids XD

so i went for a good jap after the test on sunday at tampopo at clarke quay :D

despite the fact that clarke quay is only about 15mins walk from my place, i took uber there XD too tired bahhhhhhhhh HAHA

ottoro was superb. and so did amaebi. and ottoro alone is $12 HAHAHA

would be good if the tempura dish can be changed to something lighter.

and, felt so contented after having the jap, especially being so lethargic after the test =))

parts and puzzles of december

december had been quite good to me.

a good meal for birthday as usual.
since was back on the birthday itself, so i went for food hunt two days earlier.

an omakase meal of $68 at Kaiware.

 this is scallop

 assorted sashimi

 shishamo, which is an add-on

 chawanmushi with good ingredients

 this made the $68 worthy.

*dunno what fish was that, uni sushi, ikura sushi*

 when i saw the bento i went jaw dropped. i was full after the sushi set. sincerely

smoked duck with rice, mentaiko cod fish fillet, nice soup.

last last, dessert. mochi with vanilla ice cream maybe?

it's Omakase meal, which means, the chef to decide.
so i didn't know what are the dishes before hand.
seems like i have trained my taste buds well. able to tell what are some of those foods by just tasting. like the scallop, the mentaiko cod fish *yeah, can even tell what type of fish is that =.= *, the smoked duck, and the soup base =.=

next up was the wedding of Zi Ning. haha bought my air ticket a year before. december is always the peak season, any wedding of that time must be informed much earlier to secure cheap ticket XD

so we decided to throw her a bridal shower.
as only me has to fly from singapore, we worked for the decorations via Whatsapp XD

and i m very proud to say that.....

 the designs were by me!!!! XD printing was by Lynn after i had done designing and emailed her for the printing job.

the tassels , the background of the letters were by me too XD

i actually worked on it on the day before flying home till around 1+, and had not packed my stuffs yet. that was indeed crazy =.=

 and funny thing is, i bought the balloons from Singapore too!!! haha! coz we were all working.. and it turned out to be that, it's easier for me to source out balloons than the rest even though we were all  still working. so Chin Mei bought the cupcakes and Lynn bought the crown, while me managed to grab a bottle of Bottega Rose Gold Pinot Nero Brut from Changi at the 11th hour :P

and the idea to tie the balloons on the chairs was super duper last minute. like after decorating the wall and arranging the cakes and champagne haha! and, thank God I'm an engineer. and engineer can really do wonders. the balloons couldn't be tied straight up initially. me n my brain, to make all stood straight up hahahaha!!

i kind of like that ;)

i was really like 疑神疑鬼 while waiting for the bride-to-be to reach, as the bridal shower was meant to be a surprise XD

 mum was at home, so managed to get her to help us to get a shot =)

 haha! the birthday celebration was a total surprise. they all actually forgotten initially. Zi Ning did remember, my, so amazing XD and she bought the cake.
so it was a double celebration ;)

21years and counting. love this shot ;)

 thankful for them. one of my greatest blessings to have them =D

mm hmm.. friend said i won't have to be worried to be jobless in future. coz i... though being an engineer, i can be an event planner [kind of lousy one ??XD] and also an early childhood educator [cause have been in sunday school ministry for some years]. and yea, i somewhat agree to that. hahaha!

the day was two days after the bridal shower.

 the cute guy, who joined the bridesmaids team! haha!

the crash gate part in the morning was fun and funny with the groomsmen's participation. had a good belly-hurting laugh XD

the photo shooting near noon was fun too but kind of "oh my". even had heatstroke, which caused me to burn my original flight ticket back to singapore and had saline water injection at the hospital =.=

nonetheless, it's a very good memories!!!

the semester was kind of hectic, but i managed to survive. and got my first A- in NTU!! XD XD killed nine modules, only one A-, and that was a module under Civil Engineering. once again proved that my decision to be in management classes was wrong XD

Japanese curry by Zojirushi food jar

wheeee received my 750ml food jar from Mumbies Malaysia just before school reopen. thanks to the team, for willing to bear half of the shipping fee. may buy another one.. for my mum. need to convert her to be food jar user too XD

bought it at the thought of preparing own dinner, so that won't be always mcd kfc like last two sem ==

wanted to try out japanese curry before this new food jar of mine reached me..

so when i had the time to do marketing after i received this food jar, i quickly went to supermarket to get all the things i wanted to :P *semangat chin*

Japanese curry powder for the laziest person of all.. it's so convenient that they are in sachets.. unlike those boxes one, must be refrigerated once opened. and is just nice for one or two people portion. one full sachet makes 550ml of curry. since i have the big food jar so i just used all up. anything that requires no refrigerator after opening is good for me.

and the gluten free penne. I'm not allergic to gluten, just buy for the sake of "macam healthy nia" XD

the japanese mushrooms.

since it's for dinner, i started preparation at 2+, didnt open until before class, that's 6+.
penne is the hardest of all. so warmed my 360ml food jar with penne for few minutes, while i was preparing to dump in the chikuwa, tomato, japanese momen tofu, japanese mushroom and the curry powder into the big food jar, these are the things that dont require preheat. just briefly warmed food jar before dumping all in. after having done those, then i transferred the penne into the big food jar, filled in water, closed lid and waited till i reached uni and cleaned up myself :P

turned out to be not-too-bad :D not salty. should add salt next time.

without rice, i could only clear of the ingredients and poured the remaining soup away =.=
just that...... I WONDER HOW ON EARTH DID THE PENNE MELT!!!!!!!! beats me =.= caused me not being able to eat penne... =.=

the portions of the ingredients i dumped in are all by guessing.
tomato - halved *perhaps can add one full one next time? or 3/4*
japanese momen tofu - half a normal box *just nice*
japanese mushrooms - quarter of a box *can add more =)*
chikuwa - one n half stick i think? *just nice*
penne - by visual *can add more but cannot simmer for hrs together with the mixed veggie curry, add in when all are done*
water - i added between 600ml-700ml *should reduce next time. end product is slightly too watery*

**it's not my first time using the food jar. been using the 360ml one for like two three mths. so all the portions of the ingredients for the 750ml food jar i only "agak agak". coz kind of like quite familiar with the food jars.

in all, kind of liken the mixed veggies curry :P too bad dunno how to simmer rice yet.

but this will be a super crazy sem. three classes in the evening for three days continuously =.= =.= i hope i can cope la. hope.... first sem were monday, wednesday and friday. previous sem were monday, tuesday and thursday. i sincerely hope i'd be able to pull it through this sem. oh my oh my =.=

think my absent-mindedness is getting more n more serious
in the whatsapp chat group classmates were just talking about course registration last week.
this morning they reminded of the registration again. around 8+. i was like, "oh my, thank God they texted"
then i continue with my stuffs at work. around 11am one sent his course registration screen shot. registration started at 11am.
n i totally had this thing slipped off my mind!!!!
my goodness. thank God for that screen shot!!!! my oh my.. a very young lady with a very old brain here =.=

Results ;)

never underestimate the kiasu-ness of true blue singaporean.. a fren actly checked the results at 6+ in the morning .... =.= but results wasn't released yet. until 9am hahaha!

so we all passed happily =)

pointers are over 5.0. 

lousiest is value engineering, which was quite surprising... maybe i failed to smoke lecturers haha!

Project planning surprised me too! as i really left a whole question blank! XDD

overall I'm contented this semester. seeing at how busy was i at work, with kids, with houseworks, and the stress i exerted on myself that i didn't study two days before the exams... XDDD

post exam

holiday is good ;)
about 10weeks? or 12 weeks?
but still have to work.
miss undergrad days. holiday means holiday.

it was a very stressful semester.
project planning and control somehow related to financing =.= had a "fantastic" time with linear programming, by name its programming, but we did it manually without software, imagine instead of x+y=z, its x1+x2=z. wat an equation =.= first lecture of it i was already in milky way. both the tests and final i just happily left it blank =.= i think i flung the two tests, didn't dare to see the CA score. turned out final paper overall was okay, but like i said, whole question of linear programming was left unanswered :P
IT in construction is stupid to attend. only attended first few lectures and lectures involved software learning, towards the end was either i was caught up at site or the lectures were boring so i skipped skipped all the way. the final was "fantastic". nothing came out from the lecture notes =.=
value engineering was ok, i attended most of the lectures. towards the end was boring, yet still attended. to smoke the lecturers in exam for the paper is somewhat harder than to deal with project planning paper. haha!

overall had fun with the other three friends of mine. they are fun :D they crack me up early in the morning in the whatsapp chat group. they are real funny XD

results be out on coming monday. kan jiong lei :O

halfway through second sem.

我拿那一丁点的薪水忙的要呕

我是女的都受不了了。*眼球翻到后脑勺翻不回来了！！！*

上个学期真的不知道怎么过的。

final week还依旧忙工作，吃了晚餐回到家休息一下，冲凉，看戏一下(对！我竟然还有时间看戏！) ding dong ding dong 开始要学书时已经10点多了 囧 喔对，我其实还有在工地继续留下来，图有大monitor,冷气,桌子椅子什么的。就留到7点多就走了，离家太远没办法啦。同班几个政府部门的竟然还有一天的study leave，考试当天还有exam leave!!!什么啊啊啊 然后周末依然洗衣烫衣抹地+学书！！！突然就发现我怎么好像octopus ahhhhhh XD

考final当天我还可以上半天班，走工地，处理问题 然后搭cab去考试 囧

这个sem不知道要怎么熬了。。工作突然忙了 唉

原来又要工作又要上课的一个人真的很难熬下去

很难。。

突然发现。。原来我是我自己唯一的拐杖。只有我一个人撑着自己走

tiny indulgence

lol.. some tiny indulgence before i was a student..

my previous pair of peep toe i gave it to my mum..
was a size smaller than i should have gotten, ended up injuring my feet over the cny =.=
just nice that my mum's size is smaller than mine, so i gave it to her. i wanna get that pair with the correct size!!!!

bought this at a discount, like 30%?
was invited to their private sales at Orchard's outlet with UOB bank card. oh ho ho... so i went to queue for it. my first ever private sales XD XD
after discounts is still over 800 =.= =.= =.=

well, think this would be the last pair of the year???
extra expenses after being a student now. aihhhh
even buying clothes and accessories also can only go to places where students shop.. like can no longer go where i used to go T_T T_T
two years!!!!! must tahan!!! hope la.... T_T

still struggling to survive... at work and at school
barely able to survive lol. need the help of chicken essence. aihhhhhh... another expenses =.=

breaking point

sometimes, i do feel glad knowing him... i could always have some real conversations with him. he's always straight to the point. he's wiser than all.. knows a whole lot than me... makes me always want to know more of the world in order to be of his level. he's quite mean at times though, would "suan" me if i made bad decision haha!

i know I'm at my peak of tiredness, but die die have to tahan all the way, on my own. when i told him that i slept from 9+ last nite till 8 this morning still felt tired, he said is quite abnormal to still feel tired after a long sleep. well, coz I'm really tired.... at the instant when he said that i actually didn't rest, i really felt glad, like finally having someone to understand how tired am i.. he hits my breaking point, but having him to be so understanding .. hopefully i can tahan for the next two years... haha!

new page of life

been mths here

i finally made it to continue my Master Degree

i thought so long have the money then can enter. seems not that way? heard the statistics was, MSc in Civil had 400++ applicants but only 59 made it, while for MSc in International Construction Management had 100++ applicants but only 19 made it. kinda scary??

so i got a very hectic busy crazy life now.
just started a week.
classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this semester.
so ought to sneak out earlier from work and rush to uni.
literally swallowing my dinner instead of eating.
trying to adapt.... as i need to juggle among work, studies, church kids on saturday, and church sunday service.

started to take care of kids on Saturday hokkien service since i came back from my long holiday, seeing that there's quite a need as number of kids growing, and there's no one to take care of them, or rather start to engage them in bible stories, will be a waste if just let them play in kids room, so i "bei tahan" and helped out.
saturday is a half day work and hokkien service starts at 430pm, my saturday is very very busy and rushed. need to rush home from work to do laundry, then prepare materials for the kids session then nap for about half an hr have to go out again. aihhhhhhh
anyway, reward is seeing them laughing happily i also feel happy and worth it :)

many things need to be jot down.
hope to have the time here again.
couldn't even find time to do groceries lol!!!

all is done

終於完[畢]了四年的煎熬，正式加入待[業]一族 =D

it wasn't a blink of an eye, and four years of degree life ended, unofficially, by the grace of God.

learned a lot, seen a lot, experienced a lot. and of course, i really experienced God in these years. how He had helped me in going through all the ups and downs.

the most important thing that i learned in university life is that, i actually learned to skip classes [during rainy mornings and not-so-important classes] =P an ex-prefect, an ex-thomian star. well, good girl needs to be bad sometimes to balance out her life XD

no more tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, thesis, and finals. how does it feel? oh man, i feel that it's like, as usual. -.- obviously, i've been in a relaxing mode all these while.

if i knew i'm going to be in engineering course, i'd choose electrical instead of civil. at least i have a bit more interest in electrical than civil.

not easy to get this thing done. a bit challenging, as the steps weren't very clear. but halt, challenge accepted =) 

nothing much, nothing special. just to note down the day i ended my degree life.


p.s.: can i wake up at 10 or 11am tomorrow? it's been a week that i woke up automatically before my alarm actually rings, which is before 8am. what is the alarm doing?!!! *eyes rolled*

壓力與抗壓

我不是壓力鍋

但是
人小小只的，是有點過於開朗啦
當壓力指數到了一定的level
難保我不會爆鍋
因為 pressure = stress/area
哇哈哈哈

so far我還沒到爆鍋的時候
因為如果遇到心臟停止跳動時，
我就知道我有點過於壓抑了

沒進過醫院？！

是啦！

因為也就停止那幾秒，呼吸困難罷了啦！
哇哈哈哈

很感謝神的是，
我從小就超開朗的
什麼大風大浪的，都擊不倒我

所以，
說到抗壓。。
我的抗壓性是很強一兩下
除了 投靠神
跑步是我的良伴
嘻嘻

我跑步 不是為了健康、減肥
純粹為了減壓
所以 我一年到頭也就跑那幾次罷了！！XD XD
一個人靜靜的跑步可以慢慢漫漫的想事情
健康，沒有喜樂的心來得重要
無論平時飲食習慣是多健康，壓力還是會吞吃了健康
因為 喜樂的心乃是良藥

p.s: 提早完成論文的後遺症 － 頹廢-ing.如果星期三沒有考試，我還會繼續這種頹廢的日子。。。study week了。。。
6月4日。倒數－ing。我會是打橫死還是豎著死呢？=P

本来我每天的开销是10块，现在搞酱的东西，我一天只能花7块，不想去动我已存的钱了
所以只能动日常开销。。真不懂一天两餐怎么吃7块吖！！！><
说是吃中菜而且中菜很贵，又有鱼翅什么的。。
说什么系院没有钱，不能补贴，alumni已经贴了50块。。
拜托啦。。没酱大的头就不要戴酱大的帽！
吃不起中菜就吃马来菜啦，我又不是没吃过！

况且难保他们不会拿粉丝当鱼翅吖！还有，我们都不应该吃鱼翅吖。。

rocket timing

5days of holidays [i don't have classes on monday and friday] and i didn't make it to go back. return ticket cost about rm500. even tho i wont the one paying for it, i also couldn't be so mean to book it =.=

 apps nowadays has several upgraded version. so do my "i-dunno-how-to-describe-it". this "i-dunno-how-to-describe-it" thing has been upgraded to version 1.0 =P for durability purpose.
