River Safari

went to River Safari this afternoon.
bought the ticket at 20% discount when registered for the Zoo Run.
spent quite some time there.. about 2hours or more? counted as quite long as i was by myself.

thats Kai Kai in the pic, nicknamed onionhead. kinda hard to have a photo with Jia Jia. she's shy, unlike Kai Kai.

like, seriously, who can resist such view??
wished i could have the ability to hide here every sunday.
had some quiet time while being on the link way enjoying the view. literally stood there doing nothing and mind was full of thoughts.
looking at the river, had a strong urge to jump into it, floating *with life jacket of course*, despite the fact that i don't know how to swim
really really really wished to jump into the river and take time to ponder over my absurdity
seriously, i could only treat it as a nightmare and thats it. and i would like to scold from a-z *do cap the potential letters freely, serious.*

addiction

as days pass, found myself slowly being addicted for a run.
so be warned, run is addictive. haha.
am contemplating whether to join the Standard Chartered Bank's marathon this year end.
mostly will be 10km category if I'm joining.
will have more time for training also….
despite the tiredness, it feels real good to have a run early in the morning.

to join or not to join.
that is the question.
haha.

absurdity

and finally
i've completed three absurd things to date, since the start of 2014
or to be precise,
its three absurd things in half a month =.=
wonder how far can i go after this =.=

event 1:
to accept a job offer which is not attractive to me
=.=

event 2:
-supposed its not appropriate to be disclosed-
=.=

event 3:
to join the Safari Zoo Run, organized by Singapore Zoo. =.=
i participated the 6km fun run, which wasn't timed. forgot how much was the fee coz i registered last year.

went to I12 Katong to collect the race pack on the 8th.

fun run category started at 10am.
so i went out from home at 745am, thought that i might be able to reach the zoo at 9am.
well i reached Marsiling around 845am. waited for public bus to zoo for more than half an hour and to see a bus passed by…… full with runners…. waited and in the end took another bus to some bus stop that i could catch the bus to zoo. seeing the time ticking, i could wait no more but to catch a cab. who knows…… the traffic was rather jam before turning in to the zoo. so stopped at the roadside and walked for about 1 or 2km to go in to the zoo. the taxi driver humorously said, take it as warm up. *chuckles*

deposited my bag then gathered at the entrance point. thought i was late, thats why i caught a cab. well the run started at around 1020am or 1030am =.= argh, give me back my money!!!!

the entrance. fun run is suitable for family. prams and prams are all around =.=

at the starting point.
people mountain people sea.. can find most nationalities who reside in Singapore here.

 kokocrunch figurine =D

and yay, i made it!!! in about an hour or so?
walked for about 2 to 3km in between.
since it started at 10+, the sun shone brightly =.=

 my first run medal =D

~ta-da~

joined this run not to wow people.
mainly to push my further, see how far can i go.
from the thought of i-think-i-gonna-die to i-finally-made-it
especially i did not train myself well. only started training after the CNY holidays. i was on the treadmill only thrice!! once 4km, then 6km plus a bit and then was super demotivated on the last time so it was another 4km.
and ya, i did it!!! though i walked quite a lot XD
quite happy with the outcome. i think i did fairly well. i think la…. =P

abrupt ruin

heck.
another change. dam i hate changes so much, that it ruined my yearly plan.
but i have to.
i was on the upper hand. i had all the bargain power that most people don't usually have.
but i wasn't greedy.
all i wanted is only flexible knock off time, even if they offer me the same salary that I'm drawing now.
and ya, i got all that i wanted though the offer is really really really really not attractive to me.
agreed and signed.
but I'm very very very si bei the down after signing off.
sigh
probably i didn't have enough sleep
or probably i just have to be on the treadmill for 8km tmr.

month2

and here comes Feb…
end of my CNY holidays, where i had my koala life at home.

eat - nap - eat - sleep - eat - nap - eat - sleep - eat - nap - eat - sleep and the cycle repeated itself for the one whole week ever since the first day i reached home, as it was morning when i reached home, so i managed to have my nap on that day XD theres no exception even during Chinese New Year. with a two-hours nap in the afternoon, i was still able to hit the sack at around 10sth or 11 at night. a very koala koala life indeed XD
perhaps that showed how tired am i in singapore.

to tune a koala life back to normal robotic life is very tormenting, as though i had a terrible jet lag. its about few days since I'm back to singapore, i'd still get sleepy when the clock hits 1sth in the afternoon, dying for nap, yet unable to have one T_T i feel like killing myself

stepping into new month of the year, something changed here and there.

i started teaching in sunday school, after almost a year leading in praise and worship. yesterday was my first time teaching. on the saturday night, despite the tiredness, i still had to prepare the lesson for the next day while waiting for my laundry.
"coincidentally" my partner teacher was very sick, and my helper basically still blur about what she has to do so it was a one-man show. a Me, to five kids who are 6 and under T_T
pre-opening activity, praise and worship, opening activity to prepare them for the bible lessons, bible lessons, a bit of talking and explanation before art and craft. seriously ONE-MAN show!!! thank God that there was a mother and a maid to take care of their kids, so its not very extreme for me but still, i was completely K.O.!!!
imagine they are 6 and under. after weeksssss of having lego blocks as pre-opening activity, and i really really cannot tahan the mess created when they pour the whole bucket of lego blocks on the floor instead of on the table, i instructed them to clear the mess and i came up with this Simon Says game. really good. and I was really +_+ at the end of the game. during the 20mins, i had to try to drain their energy so that they could sit still during the bible lesson time, so i "brilliantly" came up with, "Simon says,"run around!"" and stuffs. and well, as a teacher, i have to run around also. the space isn't big, so the adults got K.O. with the running. all became @_@ brilliant me >_<
dealing with five 6 and under is really worse than having a world war. really really very exhausted. had to tackle them when theres minor conflict.. but to them its very big issue. tried very hard to catch their attention back when the youngest one cried for milk during bible lesson time.

somehow glad that these actly did a bit of magic during the opening activity and post bible lesson session =) a bit la.. a bit nia…. better than nothing haha!

a church aunty said, "being a teacher is very tiring hor.. I'm an ah ma myself also feel that its very tiring" then i said, "being an ah ma probably only have to tackle one or two (coz sg birth rate not so high per family) but a sunday school teacher has to tackle four or five @@"
but thank God its only once a month la… haha! and this might be the only time i would have this one-man show, since i have a partner teacher ;)

a good experience though, not going to complain much, except that i was really exhausted, that i skipped gym session in that afternoon, some more end up with a not-so-good nap.
i m happy when the kids enjoyed themselves during the games and even with only one or two able to remember what i taught.

one have to be hyper in order to deal with kids aged 6 and under, for such age category is hyper one. i m raising white flag *chuckle*
