rocket speed
how come i feel like last sunday was just two days ago?
and more eerily was, i knocked off at 8+ last night with my CM and ACM still in the office, no one else. reached home about 9+, woke up at 615am this morning, clocked in before 8am, and same scene, with the two managers were in the office, no one else.
the clocked out and in time gap is like just took place in an hour or so :O
i suddenly felt as if i only went home to shower and got changed and then back to work again. seriously.
how could time passed so fast that it seemed to be frozen like that????!!! OMG!!!!
dear time, why art thou flying at rocket speed? i couldn't figure it out /_\
MH17 really sank my heart.
and I'm taking MAS next friday....
all will be well =)
as usual,
job is tiring and I'm tired.
or burnt out, like what the man said.
think only fellas with unsound mind will join construction line =.=

happy? unhappy?
basically counting down my days to go home again
in less than two weeks to go
how nice
every month unpaid leave+air ticket... i feel like I'm actually printing money, as if... *flip table*
the increase in salary like never happened at all, all contributed to airlines in giving myself a break.
imagine its more than $150 per day of unpaid leave, and about $250 of air ticket..... seriously, *eyes roll*
i told my once-colleague-then-friend-then-now-colleague friend *networking does matter* that its really different to go home and get recharged. he said that I'm not happy working here. thats why i keep running back home. previously when he was working at JB he went home like less than five times per year.
well, its kind of like a bang on my head. i.am.not.happy. ??
looking back last year, i didn't go home as frequent as now and i managed to survive.
whenever clock ticks 530pm, i quickly pack and go. if i was forced to OT, i start grumbling.
unlike previously, i really don't mind work from 8am-8pm.
am i really unhappy working here? perhaps I'm really unhappy.
I'm counting down also..... i messed up my life this april fool, its a one year contract, i vowed not to renew the contract when it ends. I'm going to start afresh next year april fool *eyes roll*
or maybe, i should start off with a much smaller scale of project. instead of this kind of mixed development, with all these rubbish office politics and RTOs who wanna tipu OT.
side note:
I'm happy that the special man would actually note me whenever he's flying home. i really like that. and as usual i would remind him to come back in one piece. aha! *wink*

new job
too busy too tired for everything
so tired to the level that i m even lazy to munch dinner, would really just skipped dinner, shower, rest in front of laptop and hit the sack.
on the first day i did not bring my planner home, happily left it on site.
who knows, once back home, suddenly remembered that i had to do this and that on the next day and there was no way to note it down, it left me hanging for the whole night, i doubt if i had solid three hours of sleeping =.=
now i really can feel how tired is the man when he always complain that he's tired, and couldnt sleep well due to work =.= =.= back then i still happily told him not to think of work after knocking off. now i know.... there are times when the mind really cannot shut down one.
life of an RE and a site engineer really differs a lot.
used to be waiting for engineers to submit inspection forms and this and that. now i have to do all these my own, to study everything carefully, highlighted the relevant part and submit to the RTOs. some more have to settle this within the first half hour i clock in. so now i would choose to reach site before 8, to get more time to settle those things.
used to have walking platform while inspecting slab rebars when spacings are bigger than 250. now i have to walk very carefully so that my feet wont get stuck halfway. the walking platforms are really only for RTOs =.= the man asked if i have learned to walk like a cat. well, i said since cranes are also under me, so i just asked the operators to lift me up :P
used to be engineers escorting me down to site, raining days they prepare umbrella and hold for me. now i m the one to do those, to serve the RTOs.
used to be the one to x-ray contractors, now i m the one that kena x-rayed. thank God i m main con, so i can x-ray sub con before me kena x-rayed by RTOs XD
used to be the one sitting in the office, enjoying aircond. now it would be counted as good life if i can be in the office for four hrs including lunch time throughout the day. really sweating in and out, shirt and pants wet and dry, dry then wet, wet then dry, the cycle keep repeating itself =.=
the man asked if i regret to switch from an RE to a site engineer.
well, i quite like it tho, RE really has no challenge at all XD
at least, for the time being, i quite like my life, though i complained a lot xD XD
p.s.: if those purely sitting in the office use brain do works one also complain stressed and tired, seriously i dunno what should we who use both brain and physical energy complain... maybe too tired to complain, just hit the sack would do? haha

month2
end of my CNY holidays, where i had my koala life at home.
eat - nap - eat - sleep - eat - nap - eat - sleep - eat - nap - eat - sleep and the cycle repeated itself for the one whole week ever since the first day i reached home, as it was morning when i reached home, so i managed to have my nap on that day XD theres no exception even during Chinese New Year. with a two-hours nap in the afternoon, i was still able to hit the sack at around 10sth or 11 at night. a very koala koala life indeed XD
perhaps that showed how tired am i in singapore.
to tune a koala life back to normal robotic life is very tormenting, as though i had a terrible jet lag. its about few days since I'm back to singapore, i'd still get sleepy when the clock hits 1sth in the afternoon, dying for nap, yet unable to have one T_T i feel like killing myself
stepping into new month of the year, something changed here and there.
i started teaching in sunday school, after almost a year leading in praise and worship. yesterday was my first time teaching. on the saturday night, despite the tiredness, i still had to prepare the lesson for the next day while waiting for my laundry.
"coincidentally" my partner teacher was very sick, and my helper basically still blur about what she has to do so it was a one-man show. a Me, to five kids who are 6 and under T_T
pre-opening activity, praise and worship, opening activity to prepare them for the bible lessons, bible lessons, a bit of talking and explanation before art and craft. seriously ONE-MAN show!!! thank God that there was a mother and a maid to take care of their kids, so its not very extreme for me but still, i was completely K.O.!!!
imagine they are 6 and under. after weeksssss of having lego blocks as pre-opening activity, and i really really cannot tahan the mess created when they pour the whole bucket of lego blocks on the floor instead of on the table, i instructed them to clear the mess and i came up with this Simon Says game. really good. and I was really +_+ at the end of the game. during the 20mins, i had to try to drain their energy so that they could sit still during the bible lesson time, so i "brilliantly" came up with, "Simon says,"run around!"" and stuffs. and well, as a teacher, i have to run around also. the space isn't big, so the adults got K.O. with the running. all became @_@ brilliant me >_<
dealing with five 6 and under is really worse than having a world war. really really very exhausted. had to tackle them when theres minor conflict.. but to them its very big issue. tried very hard to catch their attention back when the youngest one cried for milk during bible lesson time.
a church aunty said, "being a teacher is very tiring hor.. I'm an ah ma myself also feel that its very tiring" then i said, "being an ah ma probably only have to tackle one or two (coz sg birth rate not so high per family) but a sunday school teacher has to tackle four or five @@"
but thank God its only once a month la… haha! and this might be the only time i would have this one-man show, since i have a partner teacher ;)
a good experience though, not going to complain much, except that i was really exhausted, that i skipped gym session in that afternoon, some more end up with a not-so-good nap.
i m happy when the kids enjoyed themselves during the games and even with only one or two able to remember what i taught.
one have to be hyper in order to deal with kids aged 6 and under, for such age category is hyper one. i m raising white flag *chuckle*

hopeless
crazy-ing...
i have countless articles on the recent mini budget report to read.
remember my 20marks coQ assignment? aye,it's about this mini budget. lecturer asked us to interview someone who knows about this with questions that popped up while reading the report. ask seniors? second year and third year said "i knew nothing". final year said "does it have to do with me?". my batch?? dont hope much better *sigh*
due on wednesday. killing me would be a faster way.
i'm tired.
i'm crazy..
UTM-ians, is mini budget at ur fingertips? can do me a favour? let me interview u... please.......................

equation
sarah's law states that.....
tests+quiz+assignments+presentations+aiesec-dramas=crazy!
ROFL.....
more to come.....
soil tutorial and engineering maths' assignments due next mon.. basic communication quiz and presentation due next wed with soil mechanics' presentation also. aiesec's thingy due this sunday. WTH...&%^#@$!
i hardly have time for dramas this semester....T_________T ='(
CRAZY-ing... God save me!
test...... yes! i'm superb happy with my soil mechanics test and also engineering maths. woohoooooooo......*on cloud nine*
i was totally lost in space a chapter each for soil mecha and engineering maths due to MY cny break.
being choice-less as usual, i searched high and low for tutor. aaa.... dont get me wrong, not the official tutor like wat UMS has,but the unofficial ones among course mates. hahaks!
donald duck had an A for his soil mechanics last semester, so i dragged him out to teach me on monday nite, when i fell down on that night after studying also, not taking into consideration that his friends kept calling him for gaming. hahahaha...
credits to him! i'm satisfied with what i'd done on tue nite when having the test. hehe...
oya! some stupid happenings when having the test... guess what..
we had two questions for the one hour test. question one was on applying the formulas for calculations, question two had part a and b. part a was on some calculations to classify the soil while b was on classification without tables given as in text book. i used about eight minutes to finish all the calculations. leaving the classification. thinking that 2b might take up more than 10marks so i spent the rest of the time there cracking my brain. after another ten minutes, one of the lecturers stood up and wrote something on the whiteboard. there it goes! the marks allocation. question 1 10marks,2a 7marks,2b......................
3MARKS! freak!
once i saw that 3, i closed my test paper and waited for instructions to hand in my paper. ROFL...
GOD,there are more than 10types each for gravely soil, sandy soil and silty and clayey soil! the lecturers actually expected us to memorize them all with their specifications. cool lar....
question 2b went like this--> state the grading and mineralogy of SM soil according to USCS. can it be used for road building. chek ak lar....without the tables, asked us to list wat's SM soil. sien.... thank God i came across the sandy soil table when doing some questions on classification, then only i know SM soil is under sandy soil. walau ey........ wat a question!
tat's on soil mechanics.
for enginneering maths.....
huhu.....
i DIDNT seek for tutor. everyone was busy with their own revisions and also coQ classes that afternoon while i skipped mine as i didnt understand a thing on the chapter i missed.
questions after questions i did for the tutorial.. past year's paper i digged from my collections, but i only managed to dig a set, asked steven for more in the evening..
i did every question on my own with prayers.
off i went for the test that night with worship songs on my phone and prayers.
.......
i was laughing happily while praising the Lord after the test. for the very first time.. i kill a paper with such a confidence. ROFL...
God really did another miracle! from i understood nothing to i'm quite geng in differentiation now. lol.... *clap clap*
as for differential equation... i prayed for a pass and i passed! woohooooooO....
God is great! hahaks!

CNY
a text saying that he's finding a house to rent at tabuan area urgently. texts sent around, more than ten kuchingnites received my text. the most interesting part is......
on sunday,
i drove all the way around the WHOLE tabuan area to search for house to rent. ur eyes are working correctly. i actually DROVE to search for houses. drove for an hour, after my efforts was down in the drain, went to walk a round at the spring AGAIN. met ex-colleagues, asked for help again. steve said tabuan desa has a few. went to search agAIN after that. it was 6pm by that time. mind you, 6pm is my dinner time. car engine started, there i off for.......... HOUSES. instead of dinner >< i had my dinner at 7pm that day, stomach nearly have a war with me.
ppl, dont doubt, but crown me as 'the most stupid' princess =P
******
CNY is almost to an end. working adults are back to their checkpoint, students are back to classes. leaving uni students to make the wisest choice whether or not to go back to lecture halls. haha...
they came and visited me on the third day of CNY. quite an unexpected guest. hehe... didnt see them for few years.. seeing back them.. is quite nice. it's always good to meet friends whom you've lost connected for years. haha
visitings throughout the days.
something hurt me during this year's celebration was i couldnt have high heels for visitings. heels bought, lying neatly in the cupboard from the very day i bought them till now T____________________T

met killer who kills students---survey lecturer. he would just shoot not even an A- if he's unsatisfied. no one went well during last sem's survey camp[attended by group 1 students] just because of him. great heh? i guess so.
couldnt even detect wifiutm in my room, the highest floor, level 4[includes ground floor]. i'm only staying at the third floor which is also the highest floor back in my hometown.. here i have fourth floor as the highest floor. dead me when the lift is out of service. and i tried it few days ago. well...
love the engineering maths lecturer, a malay. she teaches in english! my ouh my.... how long i've been waiting for such a lecturer, who would give lectures in english instead of malay. woohooooo.... credits to her!*round applause please =D*
back to kuching again for cny on the 17th, and back to johor again on the 4th of feb [skipping two survey practical. i'm D.E.A.D]

people, praise me for my bravery! cause wat.... i actually went there all alone by myself, without friends and course mates. lolz... didnt wanna go initially when weisheng tai lou said that he didnt wanna join cause he wanted to prepare for test.. hence i was thinking it could be a bored one if i go alone.. then there's a day when i passed by the world CAP(college ambassor for peace) booth, recruiting students to enrol for the GPF. took quite a long time to decide and finally i joined! aha~
students from UTM were mainly from FPPSM(fakulti dunno-wat sumber manusia). there were 35 out of 80. then quite a number of FKE(fakulti kejuruteraan elektrik). mostly seniors. and................ i was the ONE and ONLY one from FKA. wakakakakaka.... so funny.. everytime people asked if i'm from FPPSM i'l say no, and intro myself as the ONE and ONLY one sarah tan from FKA. then the seniors will be like 'ouh... so u're the one whom they were talking about..' ooo..... people talked about me... i'm F+A+M+O+U+S!!! hiak hiakz... geng lei me..... a story
here's a gurl. a stupid gurl.
she got to know the last day for her final exam. happily she planned on when to go back to her hometown. and happily she took out her phone to call her dad to ask him to book the tickets for her. unpleasant words were spoken to her... even the tickets for chinese new year isnt bought also.. her heart sank to the deepest...
she went back to the class with a smile still. how great..
half way through the an-hour lecture, tears rolled down her cheeks. she failed to hold back the tears. thank God that she was sitting at quite a front row. so her classmates didnt notice it. also, the lecturer was busying 'speaking' from the book. so, no one knows that she'd actually cried for a while. aha~
people around might see her as rich. she's only rich in christ. not in the reality. her dad gives her RM1500 every month. and halt, the RM1500 is as in RM750 is deducted from the maintenance given to her mum. so, she has to bank in the RM750 to her mum back. practically she has RM750 every month. rich heh? wait.. the story hasnt ended yet. actually RM400-500 is enough . so she's still rich. but......
she has to save the money for air tickets!
during the previous holidays, she asked her mum to book the air tickets for her to go home. her mum asked her to get her dad to pay her back. and also the RM400 for the stupid servix cancer injection. when she called her dad for that.. her dad asked her to pay herself, as he gives her RM1500 every month, which he thinks its RM1500, not knowing tat this stupid gurl only has RM750 every month. all and all RM700+ she paid her mum (the injection and also the tickets). no one knows that the money she used was her own money. even her mum also thought that the dad paid for those. RM700+.... thank God that she worked before off for studies.
then she heard that airasia had a promotion. 1billion free seats, which departs on may'09 till july '09. agAIN, she asked her mum to buy the tickets as she'll be having end-sem break by tat time. she blurr-blurrly asked her mum to buy only the one goin back to her hometown, cause she wasnt quite sure when does she have to go back to her study place. few days later after that, she managed to confirm the date to go back. she rang up her mum and asked her to book the tickets. then, there were no more free seats. oni those so called 'promo' tickets. a total of RM220+ for to and fro. her mum asked her to get her dad to bank-in the money. she said ok, yet making no calls. thus, she paid for the tickets herself.
a question to ponder:
people around thought she's rich. is she?
aha~
still very tiring. woke up early in the morning at 7am when my lectures started at 9am! thanx to my room mate, woke up early in the morning by 7am. i was woke up by her. didnt sleep well also.. cause she didnt switch off her desk light.. sigh...
Sep 15, 2008
aha~
tired tired tired...
eyes are painful due to dryness. haiz... longing for a nap very very much ';..;'
hmm... students, i do have a good news to share. ehee...
if u want to have a smooth revision, spare time for a devotion!!
aha~ and that's wat i did last night.
room mate wasnt in room last night, handphone is running out of battery, so cant listen to radio station. all alone in room, quiet.. looking up on my shelf, i saw the book 'purpose driven life'. shifted my eyesight to the other corner, there my bible laid. made a decision to start 'purpose driven life'. well, i bought it around may. but it's left untouched. cause the book says that you'll have to read it by sparing a quiet time. so, all these while, i never touched it.
finally read it last night, with the companion of bible, both handphones OFF, no noise pollution.
about 45min to an hour of devotion.
after that quiet time, i remembered that i'd have to hand in applied mechanics' tutorial 5 & 6 this wednesday. so took it out and did two questions.
and i found the questions arent tough at all!
CLAP CLAP...
praise the Lord.
so ya, have a quiet time with Lord before start studying. it really really helps a LOT! aha~ (am i preaching? nay, i'm not!^^)
had my impromptu speech turn last friday.
the session made me a lil culture shock. people here........ the english..... are their grammar so poor?*sorry if i intrigued any,but tat's the fact*
i dunno how to put it in words, but then, really... OMG.
after the session was over, the lecturer actually said that i'm in the good catagory. and that makes me more curious. back in form6, joshua, chuanhao, and yingfeng them are much better than me. their muet band5 de worh...
and now, in my UHB section... my lecturer acutally said that i'm in the good category, the speech was fluent and etc! i guess... people here... the english... *em hem!*
well, i'd have to thank God also, for the fluent speech. last monday was the first session, topics people before me picked were freakishly easy, i can have paragraphs for that. but when it came to my session, which was on last friday, the titles seemed to be OMG *not so easy* some more i chosen the title 'three ways to save your money'. wat can be done in the 5min preparation? not much idea i have.
agAIN, stage fright. *sigh sigh*
so... when my lecturer said i'm good, i thanked God ^^
tired tireD tirED tiRED tIRED TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
haiz.............
forensic heroes part two very nice. touching o.@@~ quite a few scenes are tears-earning. well, i managed to controlled it from rolling down my cheeks tho. haha!
mooncake festival last night. didnt really celebrate it. course mates were busying with dunno-wat-thing, so no gathering. but, the mooncake is still there. one with munchy, while the other one in my cupboard. i didnt buy tat... some people gave me.
miss my home... the way my mum talked on the phone like very cham. blurb..x_x cause she's the only one in kuching with my fat darling. me in johor here, while bro in miri. aha~ blurb...

erm erm...
couldnt even upload photos at library.. sien chin..... sien sien s!en!!!!!!!!! derrrrr....
nvm then. back to what i've done these few days. hmm...
oya, went tebrau with classmates last saturday. with munchy, siew chin, yee shian and not to forget about my gurlfriend, tzehui also. aha~
waited for campus bus around 9am. after we aboarded a public bus, went sri puteri to buy bus ticket to kl during raya. oya, am going to kl on the 27th. hehe... same, goin there to jalan-jalan sambil makan. hahahahahaha..... [in order to do so, i've started dieting right now, if not.. later after came back from raya scare that i wont be able to wear all my clothes. rofl]
we then went tebrau by transitting buses at city square. great shopping time at tebrau. reached there around 11am, walked till 3sth baru balik. haha... tebrau is a nice place to shop at, better than city square, at least. lol... shopped for dinner wear.. oya, our FKA nite will be on the 20th of september, at new york hotel. ticket fee: RM55. !!!!!!!!!!!!!#%@*^&%
tried on about ten dresses at two boutiques. one was the dunno-wat-name, with expensive dresses which i dont think is worth for me to buy cause of the quality. the other one is Yishion. great! affordable price, good clothes quality, nice design. aha~ so bought a dress from Yishion, not so expensive, RM75. eheee.... dont be curious of how sexy is the dress, cause..... it's only a simple dress, with lotsa clothes used up. hiak hiakz....
phone nearly kena stolen when wanted to aboard a bus back to city square. not my nokia phone, but my SE w580i. whoohooo.... really a narrow escape. thank God for my high frequency scream which actually scared the pickpocket off and caused my phone to drop on the floor. hiak hiak.... memang thank God. munchy who was alil sleepy by then was woke up by my high frequency screaming. wakakakakkaka.... the details... i dunno how to put it in words. but, it's really interesting. yea, interesting. ehee...=P
after we got back to taman university, again we went to jusco. blek...XD to shop for biscuits, milk and daily needs. hehez.... lotsa biscuits i bought. mostly high fibre and organic ones. lol.... [goin on a healthy lifestyle x_x lol..] bought some mooncakes oso. since i cant go back home... so celebrate with classmates lo... hehe...
saw gangs at the bus stop waited for campus bus to send us back, and tat was around 8pm when my college's bus came. hehe... actually didnt wanna tell my course mates that my phone was nearly being stolen... thanx to munchy. he told aaron and ah cheik the intereting story.. then one by one i explained to them. blurb.....
in a conclusion, keep a high frequency scream. wahahahhahahaha....

'GREAT' days in UTM
i'm currently staying at kolej Tun Hussein Onn. a college where most of the bakal-bakal civil engineers are staying. cause the pengetua did civil engineering. it has about 300-400 freshies staying in.
life here... hmm... okay okay ler.. not so bad.. leave the Minggu Haluan Siswa part.. basically it's kinda*only KINDA* fun here. met lotsa friends. old friends i mean. ermm.. those who were from st thomas. hehe.. of cause, i met new friends toO. and that's a lot!^^
i'm staying in a double single room. with a butterworth gal. a super "lao sit" one. rofl... tat gal... erm..... blurb.. makes me feel like "uni life so tension de ka?" x_x cause she goes to library almost everyday. even on sunday, she'll wake up early morning to go library. 7sth she'd wake up ady. get herself prepared and wait for library to open. while me!!! i wake up 7sth on sunday morning to prepare myself to go church! lol......XD
staying at the same college with xiangyi and fam kailiang. different blocks of cause lar...^^
kolej Tuan Cansellor, where ojibala, chuanhao, yingfeng, engyueh, tzeboon and kienyung are staying.... not so safe, i heard. chuanhao lost cash, his blockmates lost handphones with the sim card still safe and sound on the table. lol..... tat's how they actually steal handphones. cheap and expensive ones, they'll just steal. but they'll give u back ur sim card, so that u still can get connected to ur friends and family. wahahahahahahaha....
bringing in electrical appliances have to register and pay also ler.... hairdryer is not allowed [so i'll hide it in my cupboard].. iron, kettle, hanphone charger, laptop are allowed but have to pay. rice cooker is not allowed. but seniors said can curi-curi bring in. lock them in cupboard. when people come for spotcheck, tell them u're rushing for lectures, then they wont want to have a look at ur cupboard. haha....
same thing here. most of my friends i mix around with are guys. blek..XD*not of the same class as my room mate. so... ehee..*
let's talk about my lecturers and lectures ei... hmm....
i'm in group 2, session 1.[there're more than 120 students taking civil engineering, so the admin people seperate us into three groups. group 1 and 2 have 2 sessions while group 3 only has a session.] taking few courses for semester one, with fifteen credit hours. next semester 16 credit hours.*sob sob..*
for this semester, i dont have to take up stupid tamadun islam. i take "lukisan kejuruteraan awam, fluid mechanics, applies mechanics, calculus, laboratory civil and the most STUPID english". wahahahahaha...
the lecturers are ALL muslims. -_________________-" lectures are all in stupid BM. *why did we learn things in english during form six?????? i dont understand* only notes are in english. WT............
my class has about 40++ people. with only 10+ chinese. x__________x

long didn’t blogging. Felt kinda sorry for my blog. Lol… mum said have to sleep earlier, like before 11pm, cause my face started to have more pimples popping out.. So these days I’d sleep right after my bath if working on full or afternoon shift. But when I have the time to blog, my pc broke down.*sigh long long*
finally made it to watch a movie on Wednesday nite. Went with zining. Wanted to watch narnia *cause tat day was the last day for narnia on cinema* But the show time was early. 7pm… so ended up watching kungfu panda which was on 8pm. Boooohoooooo….. it’s great. Super funny. Had a good good laugh.. rofl… the movie theater was full with people and laughter’s. the front rows were nearly full also.
Ponder: why must we eat popcorn when watching movie at cinema? Hmm… will never understand tat. Lol…
Went pumped petrol on Thursday nite. Well, like wat I’ve calculated.. RM70 per pump to full tank with one petak of petrol left.
