独自漂洋过海 (3)

Day 3 - 4/10/2014 =D

Plan for the day, Ocean Park. was torn apart between Tai-O the fishing village and Ocean Park actually, even after shower still thinking which to go. then the man teased me and asked, Sarawak doesn't have fishing village is it? or ppl there skin different so better?
at that instance i really wanted to knock him, if he's next to me.

Thought of changing place for breakfast.

Wanted to try this 澳洲牛奶公司。near to my guest hotel too.
but when i reached there............
the q..................
few shop lots away from the shop =.= =.= =.= =.=!!!
aint going to waste my time q-ing. no.

so walked down a bit to 顺德人鱼米之家. but forgot what its famous for.
since it operates in the morning, so just dropped by.

Had this Set G

Polo Bun. Nice nice.... =D

fresh milk. i tot its really the type of boxed fresh milk that found in supermarket.
but it smelled awful like powdered milk. tot the taste might be like those fresh milk, so gave it a sip. really felt vomiting. whole cup just stayed there. eeeewwwwww never ever like powdered milk. yuckssssssssss

ham with two sunny side up. nice and simple breakfast. though not like super awesome, still good =)

From directory, to go to Ocean Park has to alight at Central then take bus there.
when i reached Central, staffs there told me that have to go to Tin Hau and board a bus there =.=
if not mistaken, all thanks to the demonstration =.=

下一站,天后. but i never listened to the song before =P

took a bus.
massive traffic jam. geeeez
upon reaching its already 10+. sien.

Hello Ocean Park!!! =D
Entrance ticket $320. quite expensive.
for Halloween =D

Legs itchy went to q for this Hair Raiser roller coaster.
from the outlook, it really seems like peanuts.
once on it, die. only got one word - DIE.
screamed all the way from my heart zzz
hands went numb and legs went shaky when the route ended @_@

so happened that the man's text came in when i finished the coaster ride. asking me, end up fishing or watching fish. grrrr ';..;'
so told him i ended up with Ocean Park , and was on roller coaster.
then only i know he was here about 15yrs ago. wow.
and he was super impressed that i dare to go on roller coaster, and holding my pee while riding. coz i couldn't find a toilet by then. no, i wasn't dare, if only i saw the overall route.

took a cable car to other area after the roller coaster ride.
and its definitely not a good idea to be on a cable car after roller coaster.
nauseous. very very nauseating. out of a sudden i was so scared being in a cable car @_@

good Lao Po Bing from Kee Wah. fresh and hot, and very very nice =D

chicken pie *thumbs up too* =D
total $27
could only have light lunch due to the tremendous nauseous

3pm +
was very tired, and sweated all over.
clouds looked ominous,again.
park is too big, to finish it at my speed, probably need to be until night time. but too tired, so no choice have to wave the park goodbye.

Captain Shark will bid you farewell =D

it is good. ticket is expensive, worth it though. like a combination of portion of SEA Aquarium+River Safari(pandas)+USS.
quite a good experience to be on the roller coaster. so far my record was the Sunway Lagoon's Tomahawk. would want to be there again, to try the Hair Raiser with eyes widely open XD

back to guest hotel at 4+ near 5pm. really defeated.

night time plan was to shop around Citygate Outlet at Tung Chung.
went out again near 7pm. to Central, look look see see and searched for fine dining.

Central, a bit like Orchard, branded shops all around.

半山扶手梯。interesting.

walked a long way, but ended up with a bowl of lousy ramen @_@ could have better one in singapore. or by my own =.=

quickly head over to Citygate before closing.
wanted to look for a pair of sport shoes, but in vain. outlet.... out-of-sizes-and-stocks mall. =.=
price here really cheaper than in town, when HK is already a tax-free shopping haven.

there you go, my tiring day.

独自漂洋过海 (2.2)

to go to Cheung Chau, one has to take a ferry at Central Pier.

 there are several piers.
Cheung Chau one is pier No. 5

 Central Pier =D

Took a fast ferry to Cheung Chau, the ride was about half an hour or so, $25.80 per adult.
the slow one is of course cheaper, longer ride.
didn't want to waste much time so spent a bit more. since was on a holiday, so just closed one eye =P

can see what i seen from HK TVB dramas. haha!

was very hot upon arrival, cannot stand it so bought a hat.
my favourite selfie of the year XD XD sorry if its an eyesore for you =P

took a bit of time to walk around.
it was near lunch but wasn't hungry yet due to the dim sum feast in the morning.
walked by this 金毛鸡蛋仔 eggettes stall *dont know if its famous in Cheung Chau, saw some articles on the board*, really really couldn't resist, so bought a share. $15

crunchy on the outside, fluffy inside, taste not so bad =)

kept walking and walking and walking. to explore part of the island.
and because its lunch time, it was like a bit weird if i didn't take lunch, although i was still full and just had the eggettes. it really felt very weird!!!!
went back to the hats stall asked the boss what's nice around there. he recommended seafood, but i was alone. so he introduced 亚伦冰室
spent some time searching for it because the logo does not stand out, in fact i passed by it few times =.=

lunch time, so it was crowded.
asked the waitress to recommend, and she recommended fish fillet vermicelli soup

yuzu tea, love it, its nice =D

there the fish fillet vermicelli soup.
the fish fillets were.................. awesomeeeeesee.... very fish and chewy. love it!!!! and please dont compare to those here in singapore and also malaysia, even nicer than my mum's. *please dont tell her XD XD *

a total of $41. sort of okay, worth the price. of not much difference than here in singapore.

and i continued exploring the island.
clouds looked ominous, went back to the hats shop see if they sell umbrella, the friendly boss laughed and said no. awwwww... but he's really a friendly boss! asked if i had my lunch =D
got an umbrella and continued the journey =P
bought some dried goods from 大妹海味 for my mum. dont know if things there really good, but its a fishing village there, really dunno if theres any difference from kuching one or not leii =.=
price doesn't differ by lot, slightly cheaper than in sg though.

passed by this 时来食坊
ngaiti seriously my tummy didn't have much space for more food but when i saw the charcoal grilled cuttlefish i simply couldn't resist =/

and get a bottle of seaweed drink $20. four pieces of small cuttlefish $35
the cuttlefish was really................. aweeeeesomeeeeeeeeee awwwww

this stall sells kuihs and etc.
should be nice i think, read from web one.
but my tummy really couldn't fit anything else, no matter how much i felt like eating @_@
some more was raining..

hid in Eggenberg cafe of a B&B there, near the 东湾沙滩, and waited for the rain to stop.

what a peach punch $35 -_- really bo bien ._.

 and finally rain stopped =)
too bad, didn't get extra extra clothing and sandals, else can walk about the beach =/

the beauty of Cheung Chau =)

the weather was unstable, rain sun rain sun, quite a spoiler, couldn't stand it so took ferry back to HK at 245pm.
went back to guest hotel to clean up myself and rest.
dragged until dinner time only went out. seriously i wasn't hungry at all!!!!
really felt sorry for myself if i skipped any meal while at such a food haven place XD
asked the guest hotel boss' wife if nearby has any good food or not.
the riot still on going, which actually ruined my plan. many bus services were disrupted, means, the MTR will be packed like sardine can, already tasted the pack while on my way home from Central. couldn't stand it, with rude people there. so forced to change my plan, could only walked to nearby places, which doesn't require public transport. sien =.=
boss' wife introduced claypot rice at Temple St, which is about less than 20mins walk.

there are two quite famous clay pot rice, one is 兴记, one is 四季. but seems to have several 兴记, dont know if they are the same or is there any counterfeit ones, so chose 四季 instead, since only got one shop =.=

quite a queue actually. chose 腊肠滑鸡煲 $44. if in group can have side dishes also. ok lar, not bad, as normal? or could be i dont know what is good claypot rice. haha! cincai lar...

didn't have any alternative plan for the night, as ruined by the demonstration. so just anyhow look look see see while on the way back to guest hotel. sigh!

独自飘洋过海 (2.1)

3/10/2014 - 2nd day =)

Had some solid plans for this day.
that was to go Cheung Chau (长洲) after breakfast
a place which i longed to go. might be weird, go city area for travel but chose a fishing village spot.
but, well, free and easy and also a relaxing trip is of my choice. the job is too stressful =.=
as for breakfast, since its HK, for sure cannot go without dim sum =P
picked one of the famous dim sum restaurants. and surprisingly just a few mins from the guest hotel that i stayed.

i did not set alarm throughout the days. just woke up whenever i felt like to.
but oh dear................ i woke up around 7+ am. sigh. tot i could sleep until 9+ =.=

 and ta-da! 稻香超级渔港 =)

go in to the lobby, approach the waitress there, tell her how many of u, then use the lift to go to level 2.

didn't really dare to take a photo of the whole restaurant interior =P

since i was alone, i had to share table with people, which was very okay for me =)
pick the tea of your choice, tick what you wanna eat on the menu and hand to the waiter/waitress.
price varies from time to time and day to day. of course, cheapest timing is before 9am, from monday to friday. manage to order my food before 9am =P

and ta-da! my favourite dim sum, har kau. wheeeeee~~~
two prawns each *wow~~* with squares of bamboo shoots, which made the whole dumpling taste nice, and chewy crystal skin!!! ngawww thats what i love most!!!
never had such chewy crystal skin before!!!! *slurrrrpsssss*

and the original HK fried carrot cake. aha~
tried the fried carrot cake from the dim sum restaurant down my house, its good, too, even the special man also said that its good. but this one here is really aweeeesome =P

the so-so 蜜汁叉烧肠, maybe not as into this as what i imagined. or maybe i just have to order a prawn one instead? *never have enough of prawns =P*

碗仔翅 shark fin soup. dont worry, theres no shark fin inside. read an article before, shark fin soup is just a name, forgotten the origin of its name, pai sei, google yourself =P
taste so-so.... perhaps go to the old-style roadside stall might be better

last last, siew mai =P and since its last last, couldn't finish this and had to take out. each plastic bag cost $0.50. ok lar, cheaper than sg lar =P
total $91.50, including tea and things. not expensive rightttttt...
would be slightly costly here in singapore if not mistaken.

in HK, dont mention 打包 in Cantonese for take out, 领走 instead. 打包 its sth like for wrapping corpse like that. *read from a i-forgot-which web*

didn't dare to drag any longer, since i planned to go Cheung Chau.
left before 10am.
and the guest hotel is just mins from the restaurant, i went back for a short while, for toilet, and for i-forgot-what-i-did haha!
