sept ends.....

alright, one last post before september really ended. yay i'm on time!=P

i didnt really update much about my last hols..
so... one shot and here u go.

*warning! before you really scroll down and read, make sure you dont read with empty stomach. read at own risk.*

end of june, the same gang visited Lok Garden at Batu Lintang. best for seafoods worth for the price.

too bad we didnt get someone to help take a group photos.

the girls... prettiest in kch XD XD

the guys.....
yeah... actually i think only me, lynn and carol wanted to eat so badly, so we dragged whoever we can get, esp the guys. aha~

沙巴油菜. i dunno what's its name in english.

排骨王. if really wanna direct translate it, it'd be "pork rib king" XD

mango fish. it's 石斑 if not mistaken.

and the leading character of the night!!!! 蚝煎!!! fried oysters? lol

super worthwhile. 8 of us ate til pushed the dishes here and there and each of us only has to pay around rm20 XD
i miss it............ hmm

early of July.....

carol wanted to go Tomoe so badly.... so......

my pig's bento
one of the sashimi tasted bad...@@

ah chuan's fried rice

big boss eating...... dont kepo......

me and my grilled mackerel set. carol and ah chuan so funny. i didnt know mackerel has so many bones... so i had to pick them all out one by one before eating. the two saw my facial expression was so serious that they tried to take the pic of me picking the bones but always failed. muahahaha

carol's sushi set...

ebiko. a must have no matter where i go... Tomoe has a special way of rolling ebiko. from the pic you might see that the fish roes were like just being sprinkled on the top but it wasnt! the whole column is fish roes. haha

okonomiyaki. japanese pizza.

this round only four of us...
overall, i think the quality isnt as good as before....

and then.....

carol has this 30% discount from Wow book on The Tarot Salmon, so we had our dinner there =)

ah chuan's sashimi mori zen.

ebiko again.... surprisingly ebiko is one of the must have for carol too =D

chinmei's salmon maki set.

jessica's chicken teriyaki don

carol's chirashi don

my unagi udon. i didnt know what to eat so i ordered this. it turns out a bit @@ the egg there is completely raw. the soup isnt hot enough to have the egg a bit more cooked. in the end i scooped the egg out and didnt finish the bowl of unagi udon. unagi in soup isnt a good idea zzz

okonomiyaki again... haha!

five this time. left to right : chinmei, me, ah chuan aka big boss, carol, jessica...

overall, not too bad. the sashimi is cheap... the sushis.... look isnt tat good as others. can be improved i believe.

we actually planned to gather weekly, but sadly... not all can make it...
will we going to see carol again next year this time?

and then........
for lynn's birthday!=D
this was earlier than the gathering at tarot salmon.

we went Sanga, again... hahaha..

chinmei's salmon don.

lynn's sushi. again, the ebiko was mine XD

my unagi set =))

napoleon choc from Tom's.

overall.. among so many affordable japanese restaurant i'd visited, i still prefer Sanga =P

are you drolling? haha!

last but not least....

Bella Italia again!
i've lost the count of visitations to Bella Italia XD
this time is our supper actly.. hahaha
first time had fine foods as supper...@@

chicken soup. RM8
tomato based, with chicken, vegetables and mushroom. i gonna use McD's slogan, "i'm lovin' it!!!" sorry McD xD

my pig's spaghetti con cozzi
with asparagus, green pepper and mussels.

and my short tube mamma mia RM14
originally is linguine but i changed it to short tube, didnt feel like eating linguine that time
nice sauce, just kinda spicy =)

the last gathering we had was the laksa breakfast at Chuan Choon, Abell Road.

this post ends my september.
love the gang i hang out with throughout the last hols. yay ^^v

hello October!
going to be busy months ahead.

final year's first sem

it's going to be all about water this semester.
my room gonna be flooded soon!
FYP - hydrology.
two electives - one is hydrology analysis and design, while the other one is integrated water resource management.
oh my oh my~ but i think i aint going to regret it. the two elective courses might help a lot in completing my FYP.
hmm. going to change title for my thesis. thanks to the laziness of the respective department we have in sarawak that did not do analysis on some data which is super important for my current title. siiiiiiigh! time wasted to run few times to those departments during the last hols. oh my smurf!

~~~~~
i have cold hands and feet frequently. and i'm super lazy to boil herbs to maintain good health. it's very time consuming.
since i have some income while having practical during the hols, tho not much, i try to get some hassle-free chinese med..
and this is what i get. rm90+ for 6bottles of this pills. it's claimed to be able to nurse one's health in long term.
i just started to consume this, so the exact outcome i'm not very sure about it. hmm
but, it's kinda a torment. hmm... one bottle contains 14g of small pills. and i actually drank two glasses of water in order to finish this small stupid bottle of pills. i took more than 5times to empty the whole bottle =.=
normally in our daily living, 14g isnt significant at all. but when it comes to this, you'll realize how much is 14g....
this small bottle of med, i separate into two portions.
while for the chinese med above, imagine that i have to separate into more than five bigger portions.
and it's..... "yaiks!"+_+
orange jellies
made this after i made mooncakes.
mum kept asking me to make her more puddings before i came back to UTM. haha!
i went to few ingredients shop and no more puddings powder on sale, so i decided to make jellies.
first time~~ ahahahaha *_*
when i brought back new moulds, mum said she was afraid to see those moulds cause she didnt know what i gonna do again XD
first time was pudding mooncake's mould, then snow skin mooncake's mould. and then jellies. haha
i really made full use of the orange powder i have at home. tat orange powder aint cheap. one jar of about 800gm costs about RM10+ haha...
orange cat with lychee.
orange teddy bear. i managed to make two big teddy bears cause the moulds i had that time wasnt enough. initially i wanted to keep one for my pig. but then mum likes it so much that i had no choice but to let her had two -.-
one is butterfly and the other one i cant recognize XD
for my lil cousins....
second trial, orange jellies with longans.
first trial was a bit more sour than the second one. haha put a lil bit less orange powder than the first trial. i personally like the sour one hiakz..
p.s.: i miss my water heater.......................... the weather these two days are so cold that i dont feel like taking shower... the water is icy cold. sigh!
happy mooncake fest!
it's another mid autumn festival.
and i'm back in utm on this day -.-
since it's hols before this day, so i decided to make mooncakes on my own ^_^
the results of being too free at home after practical is over..
from the easiest pudding mooncake to the entry level crystal skin mooncake. hehe
first round - artificially mango flavoured pudding mooncake with the filling is mango.
second round was blackcurrant, but tat was i taught a friend how to do it...
third round - artificially yam flavoured mooncake. similar to the mango one, just that the filling is yam
and my first and only trial of crystal skin mooncake. the skin was mixed with orange powder i have at home, the filling was low sugar blueberry..
a total of ten pcs, i only ate one the rest all were given out haha!
and finally the real yam pudding mooncake. mom bought yam and asked me to do it... hehe
this was nice. i love it too~=))
wow
time flies. it's september. and it's the last saturday i'd spend in kuching for this hols.
glad that i had my last bowl of laksa for this hols this morning with a bunch of nice friends =D
the hols has been too long that... it makes me really unwilling to go back to that crappy jungle aka UTM
should be dislike, actually.
siiiiiiiigggggggggghhhhhhhhhh. the hols has been too good as i didnt have to see those faces that i'm unwilling to see for 4mths, which indirectly lengthen my life XD
whatever it is, i still have to go back. dang!
~~~~~~

Koreana at Permier 101 is a nice one aha

side dishes

kimchi fried rice RM18. nice, not too spicy

fried rice cake!!!炒年糕. i've watched few sets of korean dramas recently and since i never tried this before, and craved for it badly. so i asked my pig to bring me here for supper. haha! it's nice... spicy enough. so we couldnt finish it without a bowl of white rice. tapao-ed the leftover and brought back for mum to try. she likes it too! aha~

p.s.: Sharing Planet is being overrated. i see ppl ordered the same dish [chicken cordon bleu] as what i'd ordered, and miraculously i forced myself to finish 1/4 of it while the others were able to empty the plate. i seriously think that the so-called chef need to go back to cooking school to learn what is chicken cordon bleu before serving it. Carvery's chicken cordon bleu for me is still can be accepted, but unexpectedly Sharing Planet's makes me feel like asking the chef out from the kitchen and ask him what's wrong with him. besides, the double chezzy merryland, which people have been strongly recommended over the forum, is lame too. same case as the chicken cordon bleu, others able to empty the plate while my pig was forced to finish half of it. the chicken was over-deepfried that the meat has lost its juice, too dry. it has to be either our tongues have been spoilt by too many real fine foods or the people dont know what is real fine foods and they just go there for the sake of the environment and portion. the portion is big, but, seriously, inedible.
