thats crapping actually.
but at least i do have one, to hit the gym as frequent as possible ><
my 2014 planner has started to be filled till march here and there even before 2013 ended =.=
quite a happening year ahead, i presume.
being alone here, i just dined out alone last year, or last night, to be exact.
had a sudden thought for izakaya. so searched through the webs and found several izakayas.
in the end i picked the one closest to my house, so i only have to walk there. hahaha!!!
i guess my house is way too strategic XD a blessing in disguise despite the expensive rental indeed.
Koi Sushi + Izakaya @ 89 Club Street
swordfish sashimi @ $13
to make a difference, i opted for a swordfish sashimi instead of salmon
quite a generous cut of the sashimi, hence, worth the price =)
mixed of 3 yakitori - shiitake mushroom, chicken tights, and pork with asparagus. @ $12
i like their sauce. =D
pork with fats but good pair with asparagus, at least i gobbled them up =D
double shrimp aburi @ $8
salmon aburi @ $7
i like their aburi too! *claps*
tobiko gunkan @ $4
first try on tobiko (flying fish roe). all these while only know ebiko. end up i think i'd only order tobiko next time i visit a japanese restaurant. haha.. tobiko is crunchier and bigger than ebiko.
the chef, not japanese but local, trained by a japanese chef, told me that actually tobiko is better than ebiko. ebiko is about colorings @@!!!
cocktail
kyushu gimlet - shochu + vodka + lime cordial @ $16
quite pricey for me… but heck, once in a blue moon, couldn't be bothered much.
alcohol kind of kicked in about 15mins later after i finished the last few sips. can feel the slight dizziness. so i rested and chatted with the chef over the bar counter for 15 or 20mins.
shooter
japanese slipper (weird name!!) - midori + cointreau + lime @ $9
not bad… alcohol content not as high as kyushu gimlet. gobbled up this faster than i finished kyushu gimlet and didn't feel any after effect. aha~
a very good dining experience at an izakaya. but have to go with half filled stomach. will be very pricey if go with empty stomach and aim to eat till full. lesson learnt. haha!!
will get to explore more izakayas in this coming year =)
